Q1. What is TrapX and how does it work?

TrapX is an AI/ML-powered smart mice trap attachment that uses a sensitive sensor to track movement. Its patented AI technology processes data in real-time and detects specific movement patterns. Once a mouse is caught, TrapX instantly sends alerts via SMS, app notifications, or email.


Q2. What types of movements can TrapX detect?

TrapX is designed to detect rodent trap activity, including a trap being triggered and movement inside the trap. Its sensitivity settings can be adjusted to minimize false alerts.


Q3. Can I simulate a catch?

TrapX uses advanced AI technology to detect sniff and catch events. Unfortunately, humans cannot simulate a rodent catch event, as the system is designed to detect actual rodent activity.


Q4. How do I install TrapX?

Installation is simple and involves three steps:

  1. Attach the TrapX device to Trappy
  2. Power on
  3. Install the NoLix.AI app (available on iOS and Google Play)

Q5. Does TrapX require a Wi-Fi connection?

Yes, TrapX requires a stable Wi-Fi connection for real-time data transmission and notifications. Some models may support Long Range Network for areas without Wi-Fi.
The gateway must be connected to the internet.

In order to ensure a strong connection (WiFi or Long Range the device must be setup at the location where it will be placed)


Q6. Can TrapX be used outdoors?

TrapX can be used outdoors if placed in a weather-protected area. However, it is primarily designed for indoor use. Check the device specifications for weatherproofing details.


Q7. How do I receive alerts from TrapX?

TrapX can send real-time alerts through:

  • SMS notifications
  • Email alerts
  • Push notifications via the NoLix mobile app

During setup, you can choose your preferred notification method.


Q8. Is TrapX compatible with smart home devices?

TrapX may be compatible with other NoLix devices and select smart home ecosystems. Please check the product specifications.


Q9. How do I update the firmware or software for TrapX?

Firmware updates are delivered automatically over the internet. You can also check for updates manually through the NoLix app or web dashboard.

If you experience issues:

  • Check your Wi-Fi connection and ensure TrapX is connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Restart the device by powering it off and on.

A fully charged TrapX battery lasts approximately 10–12 years, depending on usage frequency and alert settings.


Q14. How do I enable alerts for my device?

To enable alerts:

  1. Go to the device list in the NoLix app.
  2. Tap the three dots on the right side of the device name.
  3. Enable alerts (the background will turn green when active).

Q15: Are TrapX products reusable?

Yes, all sensor attachments and humane traps are reusable. Baits and glue traps are consumable.


Q16: Can I monitor multiple traps from one app?

Absolutely! The TrapX app supports multiple trap devices and locations with centralized alerts and activity logs.
