FAQ
I. Technology & Innovation
Q 1. What is TrapX® and how does it create a "Digital Safety Grid"?
A: TrapX® is an AI-powered infrastructure monitoring solution. By attaching our sensors to existing facility traps, you transform passive hardware into an active, 24/7 monitoring network. Our patented AI detects real-time movement and environmental shifts, providing a "live heartbeat" of your facility that manual inspections cannot match.
Q 2. What is the technical difference between the Wi-Fi and LoRa versions?
A: Wi-Fi is ideal for rapid deployment in environments with existing high-speed networks. LoRa (Long Range) is our flagship industrial solution; it uses a dedicated NoliX® Gateway to penetrate concrete and steel, reaching up to 1000 meters outdoor and 200 meters indoor. This ensures connectivity in "dead zones" where Wi-Fi is unavailable.
Q 3. How does the AI differentiate between "Sniff" and "Capture" events?
A: Our edge-computing AI processes movement patterns in real-time. It recognizes the specific kinetic signatures of rodent activity, allowing it to distinguish between a "Sniff" (curiosity) and a Confirmed Capture (trigger event), which significantly reduces false positives.
Q 4. Is the technology secure for corporate IT environments?
A: Yes. Whether using our LoRa Gateway or corporate Wi-Fi, all data transmitted to the NoliX® platform uses enterprise-grade encryption and secure transmission protocols to protect your facility’s data integrity.
Q 5. How long does the battery last on a single charge?
A: Due to our "Ultra-Low Power" architecture, a fully charged TrapX® battery can last 10–12 years depending on usage and signal strength, making it a "set-and-forget" solution for long-term infrastructure protection.
II. Setup & Deployment
Q 6. How easy is the setup process for a large-scale facility?
A: We utilize a 3-step, zero-configuration process: Scan QR → Provision → Active. Sensors appear on your NoliX® dashboard immediately after provisioning, allowing for rapid, bulk deployment across hundreds of units.
Q 7. What is the "10-Minute Safety Window" during installation?
A: This is an innovative feature that delays live monitoring for 10 minutes after a device is powered on. This allows your technicians to physically mount and secure the device in sensitive areas (near high-voltage equipment or server racks) without triggering false alerts during the install.
Q 8. Can I monitor multiple global sites from one account?
A: Yes. The NoliX® app features a "Single Pane of Glass" hierarchy. You can manage disparate locations (e.g., San Diego HQ and London Data Center) from one screen, then drill down into specific "Venues" and "Gateways" for detailed health data.
Q 9. Does the device require a Gateway?
A: The LoRa models require a NoliX® Gateway to connect to the cloud. The Wi-Fi models connect directly to your local internet-enabled access points.
Q 10. Can TrapX® be used in outdoor or industrial environments?
A: While primarily designed for high-stakes indoor environments (Data Centers/Fabs), TrapX® can be used outdoors if placed in weather-protected areas. Check our technical manuals for specific IP-rating details.
III. The NoliX® App & Alerts
Q 11. How do I receive alerts if a Capture is detected?
A: NoliX® provides multi-channel redundancy. Alerts are sent instantly via Push Notifications, SMS, and Email. You can customize your preferred notification method during setup.
Q 12. What happens if a Capture alert is missed or not acknowledged?
A: We employ Fail-Safe Alerting. If a Capture is triggered and not manually reset in the app, the system automatically sends reminder notifications three times a day to ensure the issue is addressed.
Q 13. How do I enable or silence alerts for a specific device?
A: In the NoliX® app, go to your device list and tap the three dots next to the device name. You can toggle alerts on or off; the background will turn green when active.
Q 14. Can I see the signal strength and battery health of my sensors?
A: Yes. The NoliX® dashboard displays real-time RSSI (Signal Strength) and battery voltage for every sensor and gateway in your fleet to prevent downtime.
Q 15. How do I update the device firmware?
A: Firmware updates are delivered Over-the-Air (OTA). The system automatically checks for and installs updates via the internet to ensure you always have the latest AI optimizations and security patches.
IV. Compliance & Support
Q 16. Does the system provide reports for Tier III audits?
A: Accountability is a core pillar of our solution. We are currently finalizing our Automated Compliance Engine, which will allow users to export 90-day historical data logs (PDF/CSV) to satisfy rigorous regulatory and facility audits.
Q 17. Are TrapX® products reusable?
A: Absolutely. Our AI sensor attachments and humane traps are fully reusable. Only baits and glue inserts are consumable items.
Q 18. What should I do if a device shows as "Offline"?
A: First, check the Gateway connectivity or Wi-Fi signal at that specific location. If the issue persists, refer to the troubleshooting guide in our NoliX® Gateway User Manual.
Q 19. How do I access technical manuals?
A: We provide dedicated PDFs for the NoliX® Gateway, TrapX®, and TrapX® Pro. These are available for download on our "How to use NoliX app" page.
Q 20. Who do I contact for enterprise-level support?

V. Site Information
Q 21. Can I simulate a Capture to test the system?
A: Our AI is designed to detect actual kinetic rodent signatures. Humans cannot accurately simulate a Capture event, ensuring the system remains highly resistant to manual tampering or false triggers.
Q 22. Is TrapX® compatible with other Smart Building ecosystems?
A: TrapX® is designed for seamless integration within the NoliX® platform. We are exploring future integrations with broader industrial smart-building protocols.
Q 23. Where is TrapX® headquartered?
A: Our HQ is located at 7925 Silverton Ave #510, San Diego, CA 92126.
